Wedding Ceremony Plans
Wedding Ceremony Plans
Working on wedding ceremony plans should be fun. For many, it can be stressful. We want to help you create heartfelt and memorable wedding ceremony plans. Check out this helpful list to help you stay organized for one of the most important days of your life. You may have dreamed of your wedding ceremony plans since a little girl. Now, you are going to make those dreams a reality.
This is your special day. Do not let others around you try and influence how you will do things. Make your wedding day count. Maybe you have always dreamed of getting married in your the home or church you grew up in, or a more elaborate location. Either way, your first question is to ask you where the ceremony will be held. You also need to decide is the reception following the ceremony will be at the same location, or somewhere different.
Once you figure out where your wedding ceremony will be at, you can start thinking about the following questions.
- Do you want the ceremony to be religious or secular? What do you want the overall feel, look, and message to be throughout the wedding ceremony?
- Do you want the wedding ceremony to be inside or outdoors?
- Who all do you want to come to the wedding ceremony? This is always a difficult decision and you have to keep in mind your budget for food, snacks, chairs, size of venue, etc. For guests who may not be able to make the wedding, you can always set up your own website for your wedding and show photos, have a place for them to donate financially to your wedding, or mail them a “Message to the Future” stationary pack to fill out so the bride and groom can save it in their wedding time capsule used in the ceremony. Then, no matter where someone is in the world, if they cannot make the wedding, they can still feel like they are a part of your special day.
- What kind of acoustics (or sound system) do you want at your ceremony? How is the sound for the microphone, speakers, etc. You want to make sure the guests will be able to hear your vows, or other special readings and songs that will be a part of your special day. Also, make sure there will be a great place for the photographer to take photos and not disrupt the day.
- As far as decorating, what aisle runner, bows, lights, or other items do you want and make sure you account for space availability.
- What personal music do you want to play? What song do you want to walk down the aisle to?
These are all very meaningful elements of your wedding ceremony, so make sure you save some of your wedding day mementos and memorabilia in a wedding time capsule. Sometimes we get so busy in life, that we forget to stop and smell the roses or slow down time and enjoy it, let alone preserve it for future memories.
We will talk more in our next blog about creating your ceremony to remember. What is one thing you had to have for your wedding ceremony? Comment below.
Making Milestone Moments Count,
