Honeymoon Memories to Save
Check out these fun honeymoon memories to save forever. It is a time after your wedding that you have waited for years to come. Don’t just let these days of your honeymoon fly by. Make the most of your time and record your honeymoon memories to save in your Wedding Time Capsule. Then, seal the wedding time capsule, wait until your 25th anniversary and open it again to reminisce about what life was like the year you were married.
Record on video, through photos, or write out your answers to the following honeymoon memories to save forever.
- Make an All About Us page (record some things about yourself as the bride and groom at this time). Height, weight, hair color, likes and dislikes, favorite foods, etc.
- Keep a copy of your itinerary. Also save your flight ticket (it would be interesting if that flight company is still around 30 to 50 years from now). What time did you leave? Where did you go? How long was your honeymoon? What is the reason why you chose there to go for your honeymoon?
- Don’t forget to take a lot of honeymoon photos to save for your scrapbook or photo album.
- Record how you got there. Did you go to your honeymoon by flying, road, boat, train, walking, biking, etc? What happened during your trip? Record the memories that happened on your way to your honeymoon too. What were some things you wished you had packed? What were you glad you packed for your honeymoon? Save postcards you find on the way if you are driving. Save a memory from each restaurant you stop at (if you are driving there), to show the towns and path you took to get to your honeymoon. Also save some gas receipts. These would show the prices of food and gas per gallon at this time in your lives. Imagine how much gas will increase or possibly decrease 20 to 30 years later when you open your Wedding Time Capsule.
- Other honeymoon memories to save are your receipts from hotels you stayed at on the way, or when you arrived at your destination. What was the name of the hotel? How many days did you stay there? What was your room like and the town you stayed at? What did you like most about the place?
- Record how many days you used the “Do Not Disturb” sign on your door.
- Did you use room service? What was it like? What did you order?
- What did you enjoy the most about your honeymoon?
- What places did you go to when you arrived at your honeymoon destination? Make sure you save photos of those places too.
- What souvenirs did you buy? Again, make sure you save these souvenirs in your Wedding Time Capsule.
- What did you do for fun in the evenings? What was your most memorable night? Where did you go? What was so memorable about it?
- What was your most favorite restaurant you went to when you were on your honeymoon? Why? What food did you order?
- Use your five senses and record the things you saw, smelled, heard, tasted, and touched.
- What were some of your favorite shops you went to? What was you most and least expensive purchase you made on your honeymoon?
- What is one items that will always remind you of your honeymoon and why. This is definitely an item to make sure you keep in your Wedding Time Capsule.
- Finally, make sure to write a “Message to the Future” letter to your husband or wife now in your marriage to open and read 10, 20, or even 50 years later. You choose the “Do NOT Open Until” date for your Wedding Time Capsule. Make predictions about your future marriage. What will it look like on a daily routine basis? What are some current favorite things about your husband or wife?
Have fun putting together your Wedding Time Capsule with all these honeymoon memories to save forever. What do you wish you would have saved from your honeymoon? Comment below.
Making Milestone Moments Count,
