Remembering Brings Happiness
Remembering Brings Happiness
Remembering brings happiness, because it excites the good feelings in our hearts and minds. Out of all the memories in your life, if you could save only one, what would it be and why? This question can be like a kid in a candy store, as you end up saying, ‘I like this memory, no this one, no this one.’ It is a great moment when we have so many memories that bring us joy.
For some, it may be the day you were married, had your children, or accomplished a life goal. So, what is at least one of your favorite memories of your own life, or mom and dad? What is your story?
It was a moment after her first break up with a boyfriend. Her dad knew just what to say. He comforted her, and said there are more fish in the sea. That is when she learned how to create a future guy checklist. It was a moment that changed her life. Remembering brings happiness, as she now understands the reason why her dad taught her to have standards, and not back down from them.
Sometimes you think a problem or bad situation is the end of the world, but in reality it may be a blessing in disguise. How many times have you thought about your past life events, and were glad it turned out that way. Sometimes closed doors have to happen before better doors in life open.
She had thought she found the guy of my dreams. She was proposed to and engaged. Then, she realized ‘God was protecting me because I knew it was not meant to be.’ Her mom also wrapped her arms around her and taught her to think about the things she liked in this guy, and apply those to her guy checklist, along with other things she does or does not want in a guy.
There is no perfect guy or girl in this world. We are all human. Although, there is no problem with having a starting point of what you are looking for either. As this is being discussed, she realizes remembering brings happiness, especially when it is something that changes you for the rest of your life.
Remembering brings happiness, tears of joy, and feelings of accomplishment. One great way to remember who you were, who and what shaped you today, and your most favorite moments in life so far is to create a personal time capsule. You can make a time capsule for your baby (about what life was like their first few years of life), a time capsule about your family this year, or your own journey life time capsule. Use the decorative baby, wedding, or “any occasion” DIY time capsule seen here. Fill it with sentimental mementos, memorabilia, and heirloom, tangible, memories in your time capsule. Write a “message to the future” letter to your baby, or yourself about predictions you think will happen in the future, by the time you choose to open your time capsule. What wisdom, stories, and other advice will you write in these letters.
It will be an unforgettable party as you realize remembering brings happiness, when you open your time capsule in 20 or 30 years. Learn more about how to make a time capsule or what to put in it here. What would you put in your time capsule to keep memories alive? Comment below.
Making Milestone Moments Count,
