Check out these milestone moments to record. Life is too precious to let our important days fly by. Make sure you capture the precious memories in a video time capsule, in photos, a treasure box.
Our life is filled with milestones from the moment we are born. These are milestone moments to record because they change us and make us who we are as we get older. Have you ever sat down and written out all the milestone moments you think you have gone through. We challenge you to do this soon, and write down your most favorite memory during that milestone moment in your life. Save this list in your own time capsule, to open years or decades later. Then, you can see how much these moments impacted your life.
The Baby Years Milestone Moments
- Where and when born. Who all was present during baby’s birth?
- First playmate. How did your baby interact with them?
- First time away from parents.
- First time in plane, train, or boat.
- First vacation.
- First time rolling over, walking, discovering fingers and toes, eating solid foods, etc.
- First tooth comes is or is lost.
- First day of school.
- Last night in the crib, moving to a big kid bed.
- First haircut.
- First Christmas, Birthday, or other holiday moments.
- First words spoken.
Childhood or Teenage Years
- First school play, sports event, or performance.
- First time going to a movie.
- Learning how to ride a bike.
- First science experiment.
- First school test.
- First homework to take home after school.
- First fight with parents.
- First cell phone.
- First date.
- First time driving, then getting drivers license.
- Buying your first car.
- First job and paycheck.
- First time physical development started.
- First break-up.
- Graduating High School.
- Moving into your own apartment.
The Adult Years
- Getting fired or quitting your first job to move on to something else.
- Graduating college.
- Getting married.
- Cooking your first meal for your husband or guests.
- Becoming a parent.
- Buying your first apartment or home.
- Going on a family vacation.
- Taking your kids out on a date, to show them how to love or be loved.
- Advancing at your job.
- Celebrating your first anniversary.
- Letting your own children grow up and watching them get married.
- Going through Empty Nest.
- Paying off loans or a mortgage.
- The first time you babysat your grandchildren.
- Retiring.
With all these milestone moments to record, you are sure to save your life story or all the memories of your baby. It will be so much fun to save these milestone moments in video and heirloom items that you put in a decorative Baby Time Capsule. Save nostalgic and sentimental items like baby’s first shoes, school papers, copy of a degree, or first keys in the time capsule.
