Impact the World
Impact the World
Impact the world and leave a legacy. Have you ever wondered how you can impact the world? When we were younger, as children, we may not cared how those older than us were impacting the world for the better. When we grow up, we realize that there has to be more to life than just going to school or work daily.
What do you want to be when you grow up? Do you remember being asked that question as a child? It is interesting how that answer changes over time, as we grow up and experience new things in life. When you think you cannot do something, you feel helpless. Although it is important to try and do something to make a situation better, rather than sit back and give up.
Not everyone has the same gifts, however we do all have things that we are good at and should be used to impact the world. It can be so defeating watching someone else do something better than you. It is important to remember that you are uniquely made for a purpose. You are not suppose to be like the other person you admire, but instead learn from then, then use your God-given talents and gifts to impact the world the best way you know how.
We may envy our parents, mentors, millionaires, co-workers, or others in our lives, but it is an amazing gift when you discover who you are and what you can do in this world. One thing is for sure though, do not impact the world alone. We are meant to fellowship with others. If I have learned anything as an entrepreneur, it is that I cannot do everything myself. It is important to find out what you are good at, and do that to the best of your ability. Hire or delegate others to help you reach your destination in life, to impact the world the best way you can.
Many times we may grow up wanting to be our mom or dad. Then, one day we realize we cannot be them, but instead find things in our parents that are in us too, but also find other aspects and characteristic traits in us that make us unique as well. Do not be your parents. Create your own stories. Impact the world the best way you can today.
So, you may get sentimental things passed down to you, like a shirt, special pen, a lucky hat from your dad, or other sentimental items, but you are still uniquely you. All of these family heirlooms and mementos are great, but don’t forget to add your own special items in your time capsule. One day, you will open this time capsule (on a date of your choosing, in the future), and reminisce about what life was like when you were younger and wanted to be like your parents. Read the inspirational “Message to the Future” letter handwritten by your parents, making predictions about your future and the world 20 or 30 years from when the time capsule was filled.
It will be interesting to see what all you have accomplished in life, since your time capsule was filled. So, what did you want to be growing up, compared to what are you now? Comment below.
Making Milestone Moments Count,
