How to Save Money
Learn how to save money today. There are many lessons in life that I have learned from my parents. One of the most important lessons I value to this day is how to save money. Before my memory goes, I know I will make sure to pass on these tips to my future children as well. This is how we keep memories alive, pass on legacies, and remember our ancestors in our family. We pass on tips, advice, words of wisdom, or any other great stories to our children and grandchildren to help them succeed in the future. What advice do you have to pass on to your children?
I was just talking with someone the other day about how much the price of candy has gone up over the past decades. When did the price go up? It happened so slowly, I didn’t even notice. That is just the price of candy. What about other important items like the price of beef. Let’s read on about the many different ideas of how to save money on other important items in life too.
- Buy savings bonds and give them in a time capsule so that the money increases over time. Get your own Baby Time Capsule here to start saving today.
- Cut up all your credit cards and force yourself to use cash for everything you pay for.
- Use a dehydrator to make your own minced onions or beef jerky.
- Plant a garden
- Build solar heating panels to put on your home and decrease your heating bills.
- Buy meat in bulk. Purchase a whole cow if you can and freeze it for the year. Not to mention it is healthier eating.
- Can your own food. My grandmother taught me how to do this. That is one tradition from my family I will value forever. Thankfully she has saved her secret notes to pass on to us as grandchildren, for when she is gone. What other secret notes could you put in a time capsule to save for your grandchildren. Don’t wait until it is too late. Keep your family secret recipe forever by putting it in a time capsule to pass on to the kids. Get an “Any Occasion” DIY Time Capsule here and make your own Family Time Capsule to put the recipe in for decades to keep.
- Take your kids to an outdoor park instead of the expensive amusement park. See the creativity come out in your kids when they have to find things to do.
- Learn how to change you own oil or do your own brakes in your car.
- Purchase your own DIY pool kit to put together yourself and help you kids cool off for the summer.
- Save on your cell phone bill by using the new futuristic technology of today and not using one of the major networks.
- Learn how to make your own clothes. I am sure someone in your family history knows how to do this. Give them a call. You probably have not spoken to them in a while anyways.
- Instead of going on expensive dates to dinner and movies, take your date to the park, have a picnic or go camping.
- Instead of paying for expensive video games, teach your kids to go outside and fly a kite or play tag. Make your own boats to put in a creek. Remember how fun it used to be to drink water out of a hose or have squirt gun fights?
Turn back the clock. Go back in time and have fun like the good old days with your kids again. Make memories and learn how to save money at the same time. Treasure these memories in a time capsule while you do it, so you can make sure you pass these ideas on to your children and grandchildren.
