Biographies Matter
Biographies Matter
Biographies matter because they tell the story of someone special in this world. Everyone has a story to tell. Biographies matter because it is someone who took the time to research, document the life story, and retell it in a way that is impacting. The biographies of others in this world can help us learn more about life and milestone moments before we get to their age ourselves.
Biographies are like a time capsule. They capture the many important events, achievements, good and bad times of someone’s life journey. Some of these biographies are such great stories, that they become great documentaries on television. You can audio or video record almost anyone nowadays with practically everyone having a cell phone to capture these biographies.
Make a Family Time Capsule
Make sure you take as many photos or find old photos as well, during the making of your biography or while researching your story of someone special. We encourage friends and family to make scrapbook heritage albums, which is like saying biographies matter. Not everything fits in a scrapbook though. Sometimes you need a special place to preserve your three dimensional items that are a part of the stories or biographies.
Save your baby’s first shoes in a Baby Time Capsule. Collect your favorite wedding and honeymoon souvenirs and put them in a Wedding Time Capsule. Treasure your most important family heirlooms, along with the stories of what each item is and the memory associated with them, in a Family Time Capsule (using the “Any Occasion” DIY Time Capsule).
Print out your own family photos from your computer, cell phone, or tablet onto the large sticker paper included with the DIY Time Capsule, then wrap this paper around the time capsule to make your own Family Time Capsule. Next, fill your Family Time Capsule with things that describe your family, quotes that have encouraged your family, special photos, souvenirs from family vacations, and other mementos or memorabilia. Finally, choose a date to open this time capsule again in the future, to reminisce about what life was like when you all made this Family Time Capsule and wrote out your biographies. You can also fill out the “Message to the Future” letters making predictions about the future. When you open this time capsule, did your predictions come true?
No Time for Scrapbooking
Not everyone has time to make a full biography or to scrapbook about their life. This is why the time capsule was created, so you can quickly and easily collect your items, jot down notes, and just drop your favorite, sentimental items into the Family or your Life Journey Time Capsule. Once you get started, it is hard to stop. Sometimes we need to focus on ourselves to and all that we have accomplished. These are the biographies and stories we get to pass on to our future grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Because your ow personal history is the one you know the most about, it is the best place to start when creating a biography to save in a time capsule. If you are wanting to capture the story and biography of your grandparents, to pass on to your children when they get older and want to know more about them, start with these interview questions to help.
So, if you were to make an biography about someone, who would it be? Comment below.
Making Milestone Moments Count,
