Mother’s Day Gifts from Kids
Mother’s Day Gifts from Kids
Mother’s day gifts from kids are the best. They have so much sentimental value, meaning, and love. Remember making your first Mother’s day gift for your mom? Who helped you make the gift? You may even say, I know my mom still has that gift in a box somewhere. Opening that box would be like opening a time capsule from the past. What stories would be attached to opening that box?
Spend time making these Mother’s day gifts from kids this year and preserve them somewhere safe to treasure forever.
- Homemade Mother’s day card from the kids. Be creative and use items around your house to make the card, like a bottle cap for this minion card. So cute.
- A list of things you are thankful for your mom raising you.
- Personalized door knob hanger for when mom does not want to be disturbed.
- Personalized Recipe box to hold her favorite recipes
- Have the kids go to the flower shop with dad or a family friend, and pick out flowers. Then make a personalized flower pot the kids can decorate.
- Fill out an All About My Mom printable worksheet.
- Make a Baby’s Hand Print to give to a new mommy. What a great keepsake this will be for mom and the baby in the future.
- The dad or a family friend can help the kids make mom’s favorite meal, cookies, or other desert.
- Serve mom breakfast in bed that the kids made with the help of a supervisor if needed.
- Have the kids make artwork and then put it in a nice picture frame.
- Buy a blank cooking apron at the craft store. Then, use special paints or puff paint to let the kids decorate it for mom to wear when she cooks.
- If you have a tech savvy teenager, transfer some of her old home movies from VCR to DVD or another updated, safer place.
- Buy a plain t-shirt and let the kids use puff paint to decorate it for mom.
- Make a personalized candle for mom, with your photos or artwork on the outside to decorate it.
- Make refrigerator magnets, using your own photos or other pictures mom likes. Just print them out on computer photo sticker paper, then put them on blank magnets you can buy at the store.
- Make a baby’s time capsule for a mom who recently had a baby. Preserve baby’s first year mementos and memorabilia in the time capsule. Let the mother, family, and friends fill out the included “Message to the Future” letters making predictions about the baby and offering other words of advice for baby to read 20 or 30 years from now when the baby time capsule is opened again. Mother and baby will be able to reminisce about what life was like when the baby was born. How precious is that?
- If mom likes to read, make her a personalized bookmark for her.
- Make an emergency candy stash kit for mom to keep to herself. Put all her favorite candy and snacks together in a basket with a bow.
- Make a personalized oven mitt for mom to cook with, by putting painted and personalized hand prints on it.
So what is the best Mother’s day gifts you have ever received from your kids? Comment below.
