Make a Bed Treasure Chest
Make a bed treasure chest with your child’s storage space underneath. These are quite common today, and they can be used for many different purposes. Some people store clothes that are out of season to make more closet space. Some store toys and other items but there is a special way for you to make decent use of this storage area. You may make a treasure chest in your child’s storage bed.
Does your kid have a group of toys or other items that he or she has collected throughout the years that they no longer have any use for but who are overly sentimental to eliminate? Finding a place for these items can be challenging because you want them to be out of the way to make space for the things that your child is interested now but you can’t risk getting them mixed up with something that might be given away. This is a common problem that many families have. Usually, these items get packed away in a box and stored in the basement or garage never to be seen again.
Тhе bіggеst рrоblеm wіth stоrіng thеm thіs wау іs thаt thеsе іtеms аrе оftеn dаmаgеd bу thе wеаthеr, whісh саusеs thеm tо mоld аnd mіldеw. This destroys any possibility your kid had of maybe passing them on to their children one day or simply storing them as a reminder of their childhood. However, there is an alternative answer to this very common issue. Тurnіng thе stоrаgе соmраrtmеnt bеnеаth уоur сhіld’s bеd іntо а trеаsurе сhеst tо stоrе аll thеsе іtеms іs thе реrfесt sоlutіоn.
Since most children love anything to do with pirates and hidden treasure they’ll love the idea. You won’t have any trouble getting them to part with the item they love so much (but that they have way outgrown) when they know it’ll be safely tucked away under their bed. Also, they’ll have the ability to pull it out and reminisce about old times every time they’re in the mood and then easily store it away again for safe keeping.
If your child has a normal bed with no storage compartment beneath, you can make your own. All you need to do is visit a neighborhood retail store and purchase plastic containers that were designed for under the bed storage. The majority of these even have little wheels to make it easy to roll them back and forth from beneath the bed. In the event you or someone in the household is great when it comes to working with your hands, you may even make an under the bed storage container from wood. These may be used to store away the treasures your kid has grown to love. When you make a treasure chest in your child’s storage bed, you will be supplying them with a distinctive and excellent way to preserve a piece of their childhood. This is something they’ll be thanking you for later on when they look back on these items and recall what a remarkable life they had a kid.
You could also save your child’s time capsule in the bed treasure chest. Imagine making a time capsule for your baby, and saving their most important mementos and memorabilia in it from their first year of life. We do not remember things when we are a baby. So, preserve their favorite items in a baby time capsule. Then, save that in the bed treasure chest, for them to open decades in the future, when your baby is old enough to appreciate what life was like they ear they were born. Have family and friends fill out the “message to the future” letters making fun predictions about what the baby will be when he or she grows up and opens the time capsule. These baby time capsules are not meant to be buried, but instead displayed on a shelf or hidden in a closet or in a bed treasure chest. Learn more about what to save in a baby time capsule here.
