Babies grow so fast. We want you to document all your baby’s milestones so you do not forget them years later into the future. What are your first thoughts as a mommy the first year? Do you miss your baby bump or are you just glad your baby is finally here?
There are so many thoughts and questions running through your head. You may have mixed feelings about being a first time mommy.
What will the process be like when we first bring you home?
Will I be a good mommy?
What will postpartum be like?
The first time I experienced morning sickness was like….
The first time it really sank in that I was going to be a mom…
What will I be overwhelmed with? Will my husband be able to help me?
Why is he crying? What does he want? I don’t know what to do.
Will I ever lose this baby weight?
Will he crawl or walk on time?
What will potty training be like?

Can you imagine what it would be like if your mother video-taped everything about what it means to be a new mommy and all the things she did with you as a baby. How helpful would this video series be, if your mother passed it on to you as you became a new mother with your first baby? How do you not get overwhelmed as a new mommy? Do not re-invent the wheel. I am sure you have friends or you mother on speed dial on your phone, so when you have a question you can call them.
Save time for your child in the future by making keepsake videos of your everyday thoughts, worries, stress, and tips of how you multi-tasked to pass on to your child when he or she is a parent in the future. You can pass on these videos in an artistic and unique Baby Time Capsule with other new mommy survival kit supplies, like a massage coupon, spa treatment lotions and soaps, and other creative items you can think to include. You can get your Baby Time Capsule from https://www.timecapsule.com/product/milestone-collection-baby-time-capsule-keepsake-gift/.
New Mommy Journal Ideas
Track your first time mommy thoughts in a journal, along with a video. This is a great keepsake to pass on to your future child, when she or he has their own baby. For an example of what kinds of things to record, check out http://www.parents.com/baby/new-parent/motherhood/first-week-home-with-baby/ to get you started.
You have to do what feels right for you. Not everyone has a mother still alive to pass on these important answers about how to raise a new baby. Find a mentor mother. Find a mommy meet-up group. One important gift mom’s have is instinct – trust yours. Don’t put so much pressure on yourself. There is no such thing as a “supermom.” We all have good and bad days, but the question is how are you learning from these days and how can you pass this knowledge on to your child in the future?
What are or were some of your first time mommy thoughts? Comment below.
Making Milestone Moments Count,
