Treasure Life
Treasure life because you never know what can happen in an instant. It was a moment when he was throwing a birthday party for his best friend. He was not exactly the most popular kid in school, but would do anything to help out others. He had a fascination with hunting, fishing, and guns.
The story
It was a day that will never be forgotten. His closest friends were there. If you knew it was going to be your last day on earth, who would you want to be surrounded by? What would you want to do?
After the birthday cake was cut, and candles blown, his best friend wanted to end the day in a fun way. When he got into his dad’s gun drawer, to show his best friend a cool trick, life took a bad turn. Again, treasure life, because you do not know what you have until it is gone. His best friend started to twirl around the loaded gun on his finger, to show the ‘trick’ to him. The gun went off and his best friend accidentally shot and killed himself.
It was an eye opener for the whole high school class about gun safety. The gun was locked away, but his best friend found his dad’s key to get in and play with the gun. This is one of many life lessons that need to be taught to many families about gun safety and how to treasure life.
Lesson learned
Please do not wait until it is too late to learn a lesson. This is the point of a time capsule. Pass on memories, mementos, and lessons of wisdom to your children or great grandchildren using a DIY legacy or family time capsule. It is one of the most meaningful gifts you will ever give your kids or family.
People always talk about things they want to do or places they want to go before they die, and a legacy time capsule or a personal life journey decorative time capsule is a perfect place to keep your bucket list. Imagine opening this time capsule in the future, in about 20 or 30 years, when you hope to accomplish many things on your bucket list. It would also be a fun time of reminiscing as you pull out other old items in your time capsule that you filled years ago, about your life at the time.
Make a time capsule about your life.
Treasuring your stories is so important because it is what describes who you are, what all you have done in your life, and your legacy. There is a profile book inside of each time capsule, so that you can describe your life or the life of a loved one you are making the time capsule for. It will be interesting to see how similar their great grandchildren are to the little things that your loved one does in life too. See how similar personalities and little nuisances are passed down in the family, through stories in a time capsule about their life.
It doesn’t matter what you say about someone once they are gone. What matters, is how you treat them when they are here. Save their story and treasure life. Save videos and other important, sentimental mementos and memorabilia in your any occasion time capsule. You do not bury the “Any Occasion” DIY time capsule seen here. It is meant to be displayed or hidden in a closet or attic for years, until you want to open it again and reminisce.
What symbolizes you and your life? What would you put in a DIY legacy, life journey, or family time capsule to pass on to future generations? Comment below. A time capsule is a great gift to treasure life.
Making Milestone Moments Count,
