School Memory Book
Make a school memory book you can be proud of. There are so many accomplishments, rewards, memories, and special mementos you can save from your school years. Do not just let these things get shoved in a box, but instead make a school memory book out of them.
Especially from your senior year in high school, you need to preserve photos, souvenirs, and other memories before you graduate high school. When you are nostalgic you will thank yourselves years later, so it will be easier to reminisce about what life was like when you were in high school. Make sure you get the most out of your school memory book and include these questions or topics to fill out.
What to Include in a School Memory Book
From the time when your baby filled his or her first school shoes, till now, it is important to keep track of many facts, stories, and treasures like the following:
- Age when you fill out the school memory book
- School
- Grade
- Favorite Class and Teacher
- Favorite subject
- Friends (save their address, telephone number, birthday, email address, and write about the best memories with them). Sometimes we lose track of friends in grade or high school, so we want your child to make sure they have a way to stay connected as long as possible with them.
- Who do you sit with at lunch?
- Favorite activities
- Highlights from that year in school
- Words of encouragement. Have a teacher from each year write in the school memory book about the student.
- Write down the child’s dreams and hopes. What do they want to be when they grow up. This will be interesting to see how this changed after your child graduates from high-school.
- Page for a mentor to fill out about the strengths he or she sees in your child.
- Pages for photos, newspaper and magazine clippings about things your child wants in their future life, and other mementos.
- Hobbies
- School colors
- Mascot
- Your nickname in school
- Page about “What I like most about me.”
- Include photos about the things that make up your day to day life (including what you do to get ready in the morning before and after school).
- What time do you get up?
- Morning routine
- How do you get to school?
- What do I do before my first class?
- Class schedule is: (list your currently classes)
- What you do in your free time after school (when homework is done, of course).
- Volunteer work
- What you do on the weekends.
- First job
- Family (Summer) vacations – Make sure to save those vacation souvenirs to put in your school, family, or summer time capsule you can make and include your school memory book with it. Get an “Any Occasion” DIY time capsule here and make your own school time capsule today.
- Most embarrassing moment
- Favorite music, videos, websites, etc.
- Favorite tv shows, movies, books, video games, etc.
- Favorite restaurant or food
- Photos of the latest cool clothes and what you wear.
- Save clippings from current ads, so years later when you open your school memory book or school time capsule, you can get an idea of what life was like when you did this fun activity.
It’s your world, so save all the great memories and mementos you can think of that mean a lot to you.
Making Milestone Moments Count,
– Marcie
