Memory Skills
Memory skills are important. Our memory helps us everyday and helps us remember from years or even decades ago. Do you still remember your old phone number when you were in first grade? Yes, you can do a lot of useful tricks with memory techniques. For starters, you can remember your school locker combination. Or your car’s license plate number. Or your best friend’s birthday. You may surely impress your friends and gain confidence with the good memory. Yes, but here’s the big news. You may use your memory strategies to remember a calculus formula or six twentieth-century authors. Generally, just about everyone can use memory tricks to improve their grades in school!
Your memory has more to do with getting good grades than you think. You’ve got two memory functions–long term and short term. Using both may play into getting better grades. It makes sense for you to learn how to use memory to retain and recall information. This ‘s an important way to improve your grades.
Permit ‘s face it. Great grades predict how successful you’ll be in a couple of years. School grades might regulate your future. Someone’s going to be checking your grades when applying for college, and try out for that first job. Your GPA paves the way for a good life in your future.
One sure-fire way to improve your GPA is this: learn how to set your memory to operate.
Good Memory and Good Grades
They are the bane of your existence in school. But if you can’t succeed on those tests, pop quizzes and essays, you won’t receive the GPA scores you will need for your future. All those tests need you to do two things: shop information and remember it when you need it. This ‘s where human memory comes in.
So how do you study for a test or a pop quiz? Do you take that course notebook to a comfy chair and start memorizing? Do you just read those trig formulae over and over again, or try to remember the American historical dates you’ll need? You simply read the information over and over again and hope for the best. You don’t use any memorization techniques;–you just hope you absorb the information like a human sponge.
All too frequently, you’ll discover that blind repetition just doesn’t work. As a way of memorizing information, it’s just not effective. You will need to make friends with your memory, not fight it. If you simply repeat your list of 20th-century writers over and over again, you’re simply wasting your time.
So how, you might ask, do I learn memory methods that work? How do I make friends with my memory so that I’ll get better grades? Please, you beg, help me find study methods which include memory training is effective.
And, you ask, can anybody do these memory skills, or do you have to have a talent for that already? Can I do it?
