Keep Dreams Alive
Keep Dreams Alive
Keep dreams alive so that you know what you are working toward daily. What did you want to be when you were growing up? We all have dreams, goals, or accomplishments we want to have done by certain times in our lives. Some dreams are passed down in the family, like keeping a business going. Keep dreams alive, because it is important to motivate us. Sometimes we have challenges along with way. Life happens, and we can get discouraged. Do not settle and let your problems take you down. Do not give up.
Keep dreams alive, even during the hurtful times, because it is all a part of your story. What may seem impossible to others, can be possible with enough hustle, faith, passion, and supporters or mentors to help along the way. Do not let circumstances talk you out of your dream. Sometimes disappointments, delays, or problems end up being a blessing in disguise.
What gets you excited every day when you wake up in the morning? What do you think about most of the time in life? What are your gifts and talents that can help keep dreams alive? Whatever you do, remember you cannot keep dreams alive, all by yourself. Ask for help, and do your part at the same time.
Stay Positive
Put post it notes around your house, with positive quotes, scripture, and messages from powerful books you have read lately. Start listening to inspiring podcasts, watch impacting and teaching videos about your niche or interest, and know that you have a desire for a reason.
Do not wait until your last days to say, I wish I knew how to keep dreams alive through my children or great grandchildren. As someone who has grown up with parents owning their own business, I am constantly reminded to keep dreams alive. I now have the same entrepreneur spirit that is flowing through our business. Do not settle for mediocrity, when you have a fire in you to keep your dreams alive and fulfill them one day.
I encourage you to write out your goals for the next 5, 10, and 20 years or more. When we write things down it is a way to keep dreams alive. Sometimes we have to get fed up with our current situation to help motivate us to change and keep dreams alive. Save your story, struggles, joys, and dreams list in your own personal life journey time capsule.
Keep Dreams Alive in a Life Journey Time Capsule
Imagine opening your life journey time capsule in 20 or 30 years from now to see what all you have accomplished. Fill your life journey time capsule with other tangible mementos and memorabilia from this year of your life as you pursue your dreams. It may be a business card from a favorite mentor in your life, a motivational video you saw, a prototype of your dreams, a bill paid off, souvenirs from your job, family, or a reward received, etc.
This life journey time capsule will be a great, decorative visual you save on a shelf somewhere or hidden in a closet, knowing your dreams list is in there, along with other sentimental and meaningful memories. Stop looking at whatever everyone else is doing, and work on keeping your dreams alive. Focus on your goals in life.
Add your own personalized photos to the outside of the “Any Occasion” DIY Time Capsule, or write out your main dream on the outside turning it into your own life journey time capsule. Fill it with your special memories from this year when you work on your current goals and dreams. Then, choose a date in the future to open your time capsule, and reminisce about what life was like the first year you wrote down your goals or actively started to work on them.
