80s Items to Laugh About
Check out these 80s items to laugh about. So many memories with these nostalgic items from the good old days. I remember spending a long time in the bathroom poofing up my bangs so that every strand of hair is in place. Then, the hairspray came out and fumigated our bathroom from using so much of it.

Days of No Cell Phones
Remember the days of walking around or cruizing the streets with no cell phones? Many today may wonder how people survived in the 80s with out a way to get a hold of anyone, while you were out. Today, people would think you did not care about your kids back then. My parent’s always knew where I was, even without a cell phone.
Recording your Favorite Songs
Remember listening to Casey Kasem’s Top 40 countdown? Oh the days of trying to record a song without the DJ’s voice in it. What is one of your favorite songs of the 80s?

Fortune Tellers
Remember playing with these great toys of the 80s? What did your fortune teller say about you? This is just one thing students did in the past during school, when there were no cell phones. People did still have fun back then, you know.

80s Hair
Oh the days of Banana clips. Curly hair, straight hair, short or long, it all looked great in a Banana clip. You had to make sure your Banana clip matched your outfit every time though. And of course, the big earrings had to be worn to complete the cool style.

The Big Stereo
What all was included in your big stereo set up? My how times have changed. Now we can fit all our music on a small cell phone. I never thought I would see the day that would happen, when I was a teenager cranking up my stereo loudly. Do you still have old records or a record player?

Phone Booth Fun
Remember the days of piling everyone in a phone booth to see how many people you could fit? Ah, the memories. Many people relied on phone booths to call their parents to let them know they would not be home until late, or to call for help when their car broke down. Gone are the days. It is so difficult to even find a phone booth anymore. I challenge you to find one, and then please take a picture and post it in our comments. It might be an attraction site for someone, since they are practically extinct.

Electronics Fun
May we never forget the electronics era of the VCR, old computer discs, and cassette tapes. Remember trying to put the loose tape back in to the cassette tapes, when it came out? So frustrating. These are all great items to save in a time capsule and show your grandchildren or great grandchildren in the future what life was like, when you were a teenager or kid. What a priceless moment that will be.
You can get your own “Any Occasion” DIY Time Capsule and turn it into a Family Time Capsule from www.timecapsule.com.
