How To Save Your Music in a Time Capsule – Music Fills Your Soul

Save music in a time capsule

This is a part of the story in the blog category about “Meeting the love of your life.” I was listening to “Godsend” by DC Talk on the radio while working. You know those days when you are asking, is he really, “the one” for me…..well I found out years later that my future husband was listening to the same exact song on the same radio station, on the same day, only about 100 miles away from me. We didn’t even know each other yet. We were both going though different life experiences and wondering what was next in our relationship life. Then we met and each talked about this song we heard, just one day before we met. How awesome is that? These are the words to “Godsend.”

“Godsend” – Save your Music

Hoping, praying, I’ve been waiting
Everybody needs somebody to love
There’s no question, straight from heaven
You’re my angel, I’m so crazy for you

You’re a Godsend
A blessing from above
You’ve been God-sent to me
You’re the Godsend
I’ve been dreaming of
You’re a Godsend

Holding your hand, touching your face
I will love you now and always I swear
I will never forget that first moment we met
When two worlds collided and I found my best friend

You’re a Godsend
A blessing from above
You’ve been God-sent to me
You’re the Godsend
I’ve been dreaming of
You’re a Godsend

I was made for you, you were made for me
In this lonely world, we were meant to be in love

I will never forget that first moment we met
When two worlds, they crashed in
And I found my best friend

You’re a Godsend
A blessing from above
You’ve been God-sent to me
You’re the Godsend
I’ve been dreaming of
You’re a Godsend

Music -3

As you read this, I hope you are thinking of that one song that has impacted your life. Music is great medicine. I cannot start my workday without music. It just gets me motivated and thinking creatively. How does music help you? Save your music in a time capsule, to play back years later, and help you reminisce and remember what the good old days were like.

I have done a lot of research on the influence of music, since I was a teenager. I later became a private practice counselor and have helped many youth, by using music to teach. Music does teach. If you want to know more about the psychology behind the power of music and memories, read this article at http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/the-athletes-way/201312/why-do-the-songs-your-past-evoke-such-vivid-memories

Music -2

Music keeps us young, as we remember back to that one (song or memory)

Music also has a powerful way of evoking vivid memories. What memories come to mind when I just say, what songs do you remember skating to at the skating rink? Music helps bring back memories and a mixture of feelings. We don’t always remember things, unless a particular song is playing. We all can see movie scenes in our heads, when we hear a certain song. Some of us have seen the movie so many times, we can recite the next movie line. How many of you have seen Frozen too many times, as parents now, and know what I mean? Do you remember building a snowman with your siblings, when you hear “Do you want to build a snowman…?”

With music being this important to us, why not save your favorite songs in your baby or wedding time capsule? How much fun would it be to listen to the most meaningful songs that you sang again and again, as a child? Why not those special wedding day songs, in your Wedding Time Capsule, to listen to again on your special anniversary date?

The day you open your Wedding Time Capsule will definitely take you back, as you reminisce listening while also looking at the other items you saved in your time capsule. Make sure you save a means to play the music years later in the future, when you want to listen to your popular songs again.
